Brilliant entry opportunity into leading fund manager focused on small-medium enterprises (SMEs), Anacacia Capital is now seeking one or two exceptional investment analysts, senior investment analysts or investment managers with relevant experience who are passionate about developing a long term private equity career with Anacacia.

Outstanding opportunity for an investment professional looking to build on their prior private equity, direct investment or mid-market advisory or business development related experience, the successful analyst will work closely with the senior investment team, developing their skills and learning about a range of industries and businesses with exceptional development opportunities. You will have the opportunity to take on a significant amount of responsibility, including dealing with the management teams of potential investee companies. You will need to be comfortable with cold calling business owners and enjoy meeting new people and business owners. Anacacia targets profitable SMEs usually with revenues between $20m and $500m per annum across a range of industries. Anacacia has a special highly sought after culture, track record and team. We will consider full-time or part-time candidates (for example a parent returning to work). We currently expect full-time staff to be in the office at least 4 days per week and many of the team work one day per week from home.

Responsibilities may include: researching and analysing new investment opportunities including contacting, calling and meeting owners and management; financial modelling, valuing and negotiating; conducting due diligence, working with advisors and supporting Anacacia’s senior team to add value to portfolio companies; and over time participating on portfolio company boards with good prospects for internal promotions for high performers. 

Your attributes may include:

·       Experience in private business transactions, direct investing, private equity, venture capital, business development, sales, M&A, finance, due diligence, corporate law, accounting, transactions and/or consulting ideally with Australian SMEs

·       Hard-working, motivated team player with outstanding communication skills who values working for a firm with a friendly, professional culture

·       Strong analytical skills, business acumen and robust understanding of finance

·       Excellent academic qualifications

The role will include an opportunity and expectation to invest and share in the success of Anacacia’s funds that historically have achieved world class returns. Base remuneration including superannuation is indicatively $125-200K (depending upon level of relevant experience) plus a bonus potentially every 6 months that aligns interests with our investors by sharing transparently in the investment profits of Anacacia’s funds over multiple years to reward performance and tenure with the firm. This will include a grant in both our new and existing funds.
