Job Description

We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as Instructional Designer- Remote Contract. Ideal candidate will apply instructional design principles and characteristics of adult learners in designing an effective instructional program.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Designs, develops, and maintains engaging, competency-based, and blended learning programs and strategies.
• Applies instructional design principles and characteristics of adult learners in designing an effective instructional program.
• Designs and develops training programs and instructional materials (i.e. instructor-led training, web-based training and other learning interventions) as determined by customers and other team members.
• Updates and maintains training programs and materials in order to meet the development of the company and excellence standards.
• Applies information about learning styles to the design of instructional learning outcomes.
• Develops and implements a learning metric to assess the effectiveness of instructional design projects.
• Prepares instructional materials for online trainings and workshops.
• Prepares online workshops and uploads documents, presentations, and related materials based on the needs of customers.
• Develops and implements new formats and templates to illustrate design and flow by integrating strategies, combined video, audio, texts, and graphics.
• Designs promotional materials for online trainings.
• Collaborates with the Learning Resource Center in the creation of online trainings and tutorials for students.
• Creates interactive presentations, instructor notes, student handouts, assessment tools, and lesson plans to meet customer needs.
• Develops creative and motivating learning strategies materials that improve academic performance and general expected outcomes.
• Enhances instructional design methods with web-based blended multimedia and instructor-led training solutions.
• Designs and publishes learning products to meet customer needs.
• Revitalizes the design model and graphic identity for corporate print materials.
• Provides technical support during corporate online trainings.
• Keeps accurate attendance reports for online trainings and workshops.
• Trains faculty and staff in the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), email, and other computer applications.
• Provides overall instructional design quality control for all projects.
• Provides support to customers on designing aligned curriculum based in current dual language research to meet customer needs.
• Plans, develops, and teaches faculty development workshops and other activities in the use of specific instructional design models and technology tools.
• Provides periodic reports on course development projects, module availability, and revision needs.
• Develops instructional and participant guides as appropriate to training projects.
• Ensures that instructional modules follow the approved instructional design format.
• Conducts research on the exemplary practices for the use of the LMS to enhance the curriculum of instructional modules.
• Evaluates all instructional modules to determine compliance with the approved instructional design format.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education

Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instructional Design or related field in education and technology.

Experience

Experience in instructional design and development with background in learning and instruction, program development and evaluation.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the area or related field.

Experience with web-based course management tools (WebCT) and/or Learning Management System (LMS).

Language Skills

Ability to express both, verbal and written, fluently in English and Spanish (required).
