Amscan International Hiring for Finance Assistant Job at Milton Keynes, England Full Time

Office-based opportunity to work alongside some of the leading licensing brands in the world including Disney, Nickelodeon and Warner Bros. Collaboration with our UK, Europe and Australia offices, this internationally placed role offers exposure to both the financial and commercial aspect of royalties. This junior role is suited for an individual who is new to finance or looking for a change from traditional accounting career paths.

Core Duties

· Capture of licensing sales (actuals and forecast) and running royalty calculation via a newly implemented process

· System maintenance for UK and Germany License codes and associated data fields

· Maintenance of contract information ensuring information is correct within Amscan’s modeling

· Invoice approvals including validation and challenging back to Licensor on any unexpected differences

· Provision of regular financial information to Licensors (Quarterly Royalty Statements)

· Support the preparation of future payments reports and share with financial accounting teams for cashflow input

· Calculating and monitoring accruals every month for UK and Germany royalties including reconciliation of the UK balance sheet

· Create and submit intercompany invoicing

· Taking ownership of the promotion provision against specific licenses, this includes ensuring that all spending is properly documented and that plans are in place to utilise all actual / forecast accumulated funds as well as ensuring senior management are aware of opportunities and risks concerning promo fund.

· Supporting ad-hoc Licensing Audits.

Knowledge, training, and experience required

Skills:

· Strong numeracy skills

· Highly competent in navigating systems

· Good attention to detail

· Effective written and verbal communication

· Excellent prioritisation and time management

Knowledge and Experience:

· Interest, and preferably some knowledge of, relevant IT systems, including Excel, Access and Tableau

· Experience in Royalties (Not essential)

· Appreciation that finance is a service function and an understanding of its responsibilities to the business
