About the role:

In this role, you will be a valued contributor in a small high-performing team within Ampol finance. This role will be responsible for supporting the team on tasks such as reviewing business cases, capital stewardship activities, financial analysis, modelling and valuations. The role is also critical to the management and operations of two property trusts with external stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities:

• Support the General Manager, Ampol Property Trust in coordination of key activities including engagement with internal and external stakeholders, reviewing of financials, compliance, risk management and managing property transactions
• Assist with the collation and preparation of materials for monthly Investment Committee meetings
• Support in the review of business cases (which will vary from capital proposals to acquisitions and divestments) for Investment Committee and the development and monitoring of capital stewardship frameworks and systems
• Assist in financial analysis to support key group projects and the development of the group’s corporate model and valuation

About you

As a problem solver, you will demonstrate the ability to understand business requirements, assess needs, provide advice and analysis to relevant stakeholders.

As a strong communicator, you will build effective relationships to ensure a high level of collaboration is maintained across the business.

Key skills and experience:

• Tertiary degree (B Commerce, Finance) is desirable, but not essential
• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a finance related role or funds management
• Understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Excellent communication and proven experience in building relationships
• Ability to manage time and workload independently while managing multiple priorities simultaneously to deliver quality output
• Interest in further development in financial modelling and corporate finance
