• Partner with the CTO and the Technology Leadership Team to drive the transformation of the technology function, executing and embedding the new operating model
• Be responsible for the execution of an adaptable strategy and roadmap, that takes advantage of opportunities as they arise, and pivots as needed to achieve the right outcome for the business and our customers
• Collaborate with the Architecture team to shape innovative technology solutions and bring thought leadership to the table
• Research and engage both technology and business to explore the potential for new technology trends and innovations to deliver AMP advantage
• Drive change across AMP Technology through definition and roll-out of “new ways of working”, driving greater value creation for AMP
• Build and maintain a high performing team who are held accountable to deliver the technology plan via focusing on high performance as well as inclusivity
• Role model AMP’s values and behaviours, and develop excellent working relationships with peers to deliver business outcomes through effective partnership

What you will bring to the role

• Proven experience in setting and delivering an organisation-wide Technology Strategy, complimented by a breadth of technology experience
• A deep understanding of technology Total-Cost-of-Ownership is critical to ensure changes drive an efficient technology capability
• Experience setting and overseeing the optimisation of technology operating models, delivery, and capability models
• Experience in a busy technology and financial markets environment, with a strong focus on business and financial results
• Experience working in a regulated environment, including working directly with regulators, as well as Boards and Executive teams
• Commercial acumen (strong understanding of market and business context; understanding financials; accounting level of scrutiny over the numbers; developing business cases)
• Experience setting and overseeing new ways of working for technology teams including fit-for-purpose delivery models including Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps
• Experience setting sourcing strategies and working with third-party vendors, both onshore and offshore as well as large and small (start-ups, fintechs)
