Create, design, and implement controls system solutions as a Controls Engineer among a team of dedicated individuals.

As a Controls Engineer you will:

• Support new equipment controls development through validation, start-up, and continuous process improvement.
• Install controls systems or retrofits on new and existing equipment.
• Support PLC maintenance and programming on Allen Bradley and systems.
• Act as key resource in troubleshooting controls and PLC issues in the processing facilities.
• Manage activities of multiple contractors to ensure site standards are upheld
• Specify and verify controls equipment and existing equipment retrofits including maintenance of accurate controls drawings and documentation.

Required qualifications for a Controls Engineer:

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years minimum experience in a related engineering manufacturing automation environment.
• Minimum 5 years Controls Engineer experience required.
• A solid understanding of PLC/HMI design and programming, servomotos/acutators, pneumatics, ethernet/IP, IO-Link, control/safety circuitry design and frequency drives.
• Understanding of IS0 9001 and Plex ERP System a plus for a Controls Engineer
• Control Engineer’s demonstrate safe work practices, work with limited supervision, and communicate with coworkers, manager and other departments

Product knowledge for a Controls Engineer:

• Proficient with Rockwell control products including: PanelView, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, Kinetix and PowerFlex Drives
• Skilled with Rockwell software products including: RSLogix 500/5000, Studio 5000 FactoryTalk View SE/ME, and CCW
• Experience with Weintek HMI’s, Kollmorgen Servo Drives and LinMot linear actuators a plus
• Experience with Solidworks Electrical, EasyBuilder Pro, Kollmorgen Workbench and LinMot Talk a plus.
