Job Description:

Mega Science Technology School is looking to hire Graphic Design Instructor for evening Monday & Thursday schedule (7-9PM).

The Graphic Design Instructor must elicit expertise in areas such as below:

• This is a new course at the school being implemented for the first time at the school. The instructor must be prepared to do lot of creative lesson planning and building various projects and activities from the curriculum. As the curriculum is first time being implemented, only experienced instructors will be considered for the position.
• The elements and principles of design, typography, page-layout techniques, the design process, illustration, digital and darkroom photography, 3D/2D modeling via architecture and interior design, brand design, motion graphics and animation, and web design. Additionally, the instructor must be familiar with Adobe Certificate Associate exam topics such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. By end of the 30 week semester, student will prepare project-based portfolio to show off in their resume.

Job Qualification:

• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher
• A minimum of 2 years of verifiable employment experience teaching Graphic Design
• BPSS license in Computer Graphic Arts strongly preferred
• Advanced knowledge and expertise in Graphic Design Career
• Strong presentation, communication and writing skills
• Strong computer skills

Job Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Provide strong lesson plans to adult students in Graphic Design
• Ability to modify and improve current curriculum
• Instruct and oversee Graphic Design portfolios created by students end of the semester
• Maintain complete and accurate records
• Demonstrated content knowledge and familiarity with NYS Visual Arts Standards and/or the Arts Commencement Exam in Visual Art
• Demonstrated success in tailoring instruction to the needs of diverse learners
• Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals
