Job Description:
Amherst College invites applications for the Marketing Intern
position. The Marketing Intern is a casual, part-time
10-hour-per-week position starting at $18/hour. Given Amherst’s
distinction as one of the most diverse liberal arts colleges in the
country, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ways in
which they bring value to and will work towards supporting a
broadly diverse community.
The Marketing Intern supports the efforts of Amherst College Dining
Services by providing the diverse campus community with excellent
service and quality work. We are looking for an energetic and
self-motivated marketing intern to join our Dining Department. If
you’re an ambitious individual who wants to build a career in
social media and content marketing, then we want to work with you.
Your work will include preparing promotional presentations,
monitoring social platforms, and conducting market analysis.
In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should have
excellent organizational abilities. The successful candidate will
also have in-depth knowledge of marketing techniques and social
media platforms.
The work schedule varies and corresponds to the College’s
operational needs. As our work is central to student life, their
needs occur at a variety of times throughout the day, week, and
year and in such, a flexible schedule with extended shift times is
required. This position supports a diverse workforce and
participates in the College’s efforts to create a respectful,
inclusive, and welcoming work environment.
