Purpose of the role
This person will lead and manage a Signalling engineering team for Track & Electrification on the TRU West Alliance. They will ensure the projects’ compliance with current standards and the requirements of Network Rail, and that the CRE role duties are discharged in line with the relevant issue of Network Rail Standard NR/L2/INI/02009.
About the role
* To lead and manage all S&T engineering activities for their team, with specific regards to the stage works on W1/2A, but also potentially assisting other projects.
* To plan and implement S&T engineering activities with specific regards to the stage works on W1/2A, but also potentially assisting other projects.
* To monitor and improve / develop engineering competence of the team – specific to S&T on W1/2A.
* To create all necessary engineering Signalling site documentation (programmes, WPP, TB’s etc.) with specific regards to the stage works on W1/2A, but also potentially assisting other projects.
* To plan and implement T&I processes – specific to S&T
* To lead the team on site and in the office (there will be a requirement to work nights, weekends and holiday periods as necessary, by negotiation).
* To ensure that critical project engineering documentation (such as the WPP, TB’s, Permits, etc.) has appropriate resource and attention allocated to it to facilitate quality and timely completion and compliance.
What we are looking for
* Relevant HND / HNC academic qualifications or equivalent and appropriate (10 years) practical experience in the relevant industry
* PTS Working Near or Adjacent to AC Lines and satisfy requirements of PTS medical.
* CRE AtW and appropriate NR F0040
* Electricity at Work Regulations
* COSHH
* Working at Height
* Engineering Manager – Project Engineering 7.8.110Fv2 or greater.
* IOSH managing safely qualification (or equivalent)
* The right attitude to safety, engineering compliance, and collaborative behaviour.
* Knowledge and understanding of Network Rail S&T standards
* Valid UK driving license
