What is the puporse of the role?

We are looking for Highway Maintenance Operatives to join us at our Faversham depot in Kent.

As one of our Operatives you will be a part of our team who are delivering essential highways services across Kent on behalf of Kent County Council.

You will support in all aspects of highway maintenance works including routine and cyclical maintenance, minor civils’ works and the installation of low-speed temporary traffic management. In addition, you will have the chance to be involved in Winter and emergency call out work

What are we looking for?

All aspects of highway maintenance works including routine and cyclic maintenance activities, footway and carriageway patching, kerbing works, minor civils’ works, ironworks, and drainage. Carrying out vehicle checks prior to shift starting, correctly completing the Check safe App. To drive/operate vehicles/plant requiring general and specialist skills including vehicle checks, routine maintenance, (EG oil and water checks etc) and cleaning.

What are we looking for?

Enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals with experience working in a fast paced, arduous, outdoor environment. HGV License and CPC qualification is desirable however Amey is willing to fund these qualifications for the right individuals.

NRSWA accreditation is preferred however again can be provided for the right candidate
