Our HR shared services team looks after 14,000 members of staff across the UK who work in our Transport Infrastructure, Secure Infrastructure, Consulting and Utilities businesses.
We have two permanent, full time vacancies for HR Advisors in our Transactional HR Shared Services team. Working specifically with one business unit, you will provide transactional HR support across Payroll, Pensions, Training and Employee lifecycle.
As a HR Advisor in our Transactional team, you will answer queries via phone, email and through our HR systems from internal customers. This could be producing contracts for new employees, processing payroll or being the first line of support for Employee Relations queries. We cross-train our HR Advisors meaning that you will gain and develop experience across the whole HR remit in accordance with legislative, policy and governance requirements.
This could be an ideal position for someone with administrative experience in Payroll or HR, or who has recently finished a Payroll or HR qualification and is looking for their first role.
This role operates on a hybrid working model, where your time will be split between home and 1-2 days per week in our office in Matchworks, Liverpool.
What will this role involve?
Transactional HR activity for Payroll, Pensions, Training and Employee lifecycle.
Answering telephone calls and email queries.
Providing advice to customers and assisting with legislative, policy and governance requirements, ensuring that Amey’s Values are always adhered to.
Providing a business unit focussed service and support for customer escalations, issues and problems.
Delivering excellent customer service, responding to cases in a professional manor.
Working within current legislation and ensuring best practice is maintained.
Proactively maintaining your knowledge regarding business updates and sharing knowledge accordingly.
Supporting other HRSS Assurance & Change teams when volumes are high in other areas.
Working with your HR Manager to identify your own areas of development.
Supporting continuous service improvement within HR Shared Services based upon team and customer feedback.
Helping your HR manager with upskilling of team members.
Supporting the transition of projects into ‘Business As Usual’.
Being a trusted professional through building relationships
What are we looking for?
Some experience of either Payroll or HR administration
Ability to manage and prioritise your own workload.
Good customer service skills.
