American Express is hiring an analyst – a critical role in the Executive Office for the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion and Talent Development, Colleague Experience Group (CEG). The position reports to the Director Assistant.

The Analyst will have a broad range of responsibilities including day-to-day business priorities as well as ad hoc projects. The Analyst will have the opportunity to deliver results in support of furthering a culture of inclusion and belonging and creating an environment focused on growth and development. The incumbent must be able to work independently, manage confidential information, contribute to high-level initiatives, and maintain a professional demeanor. Flexibility and a positive outlook are crucial as it is a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Job Responsibilities

Track and monitor project budgets working closely with leadership team including partnership with Finance

Forecast projected spending by teams and track against actual spend monthly

Input, track and monitor SOWs using Ariba including processing and tracking invoices

Input, track and monitor department budget; professional services, T&E, risks, etc.

Lead the financial close and annual plan process

Work closely with finance to meet established deadlines

Re-class/Charge-out and accrue expenses as necessary with business units across the enterprise

Monitor and maintain accurate data in myInfo and oracle: responsibility centers, payroll codes, etc.

Ad hoc reporting using Active Workforce Report to track headcount and employee data

Support collaboration across the team (i.e. newsletter, shared folders, etc.)

Compile updates to senior leaders on various ongoing projects

Miscellaneous project management and analytical projects for the function

Qualifications

Strong analytical and reporting skills, ability to manipulate and present data using excel

Effective oral / written communication skills

Excellent organization skills with strong attention to detail

Ability to be flexible in a collaborative work environment

Strong time management with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

Excellent relationship-building, follow-up and collaboration skills

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office related products (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
