Description
The Financial Analyst Assistant position is an integral part of the Finance Controllership team and a great opportunity to work in a dynamic team supporting the Australia & New Zealand business. This role reports directly to the VP Controller APAC region and it involves general office administration duties, preparing presentations, accounting reporting and analytical functions and project management of local and regional initiatives.
Primary responsibilities for the role include:
Administration responsibilities:
Calendar management for the Sydney based VP
Organise senior management meetings/Conference calls/Team meetings and events
Arrange all travel requirements for the VP as required
Team email distribution list management
Expense Management including monitoring and processing monthly expenses for the VP
Liaising with internal/external departments as required on behalf of the VP office
Financial Reporting and Accounting responsibilities:
PowerPoint presentation support e.g. organisation of charts / preparing management update presentations / Board of Director presentations and external research
Monthly accounting and reporting duties to support month/quarter and year-end analytics
Support Regulatory Reporting preparation and filing activities
Support annual Statutory Account preparation
Financial Management activities including reporting consolidations, variance and trend analysis
Project Management functions including preparing and managing workflow documents and progress reports
Qualifications:

Diligent on task completion, strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritise multiple tasks in a high energy environment
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
Strong MSOffice knowledge – Require high proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Oracle and Tableau experience considered a bonus
Bachelor’s degree required in Accounting, Finance or related discipline, CPA/CA (or commencement of studies) considered a plus.
Some Finance/Business work experience is preferred.
