Job Summary

The IT Help Desk Administrator will work with limited supervision, take end user’s trouble calls and methodically troubleshoot software and hardware problems to find the root cause. Must be able to track and prioritize multiple concurrent tasks and follow through to completion. Must be able to install and configure office productivity and engineering software and train users on the basic skills. Will monitor and enforce the enterprise electronic security policies and procedures.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

• Provide day-to-day support and customer service.
• Install and troubleshoot office product and engineering software.
• Install and configure computer and networking hardware and do some basic network cabling.
• Monitor and enforce electronics security policies.
• Respond to user trouble tickets.
• Ensure network connectivity.
• Setup network user accounts and permissions.
• Physical movement of IT or other office gear, as needed.
• Participate in additional projects, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)

• Must have 1-2 years of previous experience.
• Proficient with TCP/IP addressing, subnetting, routing.
• Proficient with networking equipment: cards, switches, routers, cabling.
• Familiar with/knowledge of the purpose of the main components on computers.
• Must be proficient a user and able to troubleshoot in the following areas:
  • Microsoft windows Active Directory environment
  • Computer hardware
  • Networking equipment
  • Local/network printer support/networking support
  • Mobile device management
• Know the principles and practices of cyber security.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate tact and professionalism.
• Able to identify and resolve problems and troubleshoot incidents as they arise.
• Have an advanced level or proficiency with MS Office Products
• Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools such as PDQ, Automox, or similar.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and related technologies.
• Experience with Cloud backup services such as Druva.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
