Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Director, Talent Acquisition, the Manager, Talent Acquisition is responsible for managing talent acquisition activities for the organization. This position is responsible for developing recruitment and placement policies, systems, and procedures, including strategies and selection techniques for local positions. The manager sources, screens, and interviews high level candidates to fill job openings within the organization. Responsible for the day-to-day management of the recruitment team. Responsible for developing and monitoring AAPs for AMFC.

• Develop recruitment and placement policies, systems, and procedures , including strategies and selection techniques.
• Handle external advertising, applicant tracking, new employee orientation, employee referral programs, and management training on effective hiring.
• Direct internal and external exempt recruitment and placement activities of the company.
• Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
• Establish and maintain contacts with employment sources, such as colleges, employment agencies, search firms, and trade associations.
• Research, manage, and improve recruiting tools such as training interventions, intranet, and online resources.
• Provide direction, guidance and coaching to Recruiters.
• Negotiates with external agencies and other vendors to leverage AMFC buying powers and to meet current and projected needs.
• Develops metrics to ensure recruiting activities are effective and efficient.
• Responsible for the development and monitoring of the Affirmative Action Plans for AMFC.
• Initiate periodic audits of our external recruitment efforts, company’s applicant tracking system and job vacancy files. Compile, calculate, analyze, monitor, prepare and review. statistical data for this aspect of compliance and will share results with Director of Talent Acquisition along with suggestions for improvements.
• Work with senior leaders to help establish goals for AAP/EEO.
• Gather and analyze competitive industry information regarding salary, benefits, and employment practices.
• Implement strategies to identify, attract, and hire high quality employees.
• Recruit for high level management positions.
• Proactively research and investigate innovative sourcing strategies.
• Interview, source, screen for permanent and contract staff for new business opportunities.
• Train managers in the skill of behavioral interviewing on an ongoing basis to ensure effective, legal interviewing practices.

Education/ Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 yeras management experience.
• Minimum 7 years of broad, diversified professional and executive recruiting and staffing.
• Exp in AAP/EEO compliance; must be able to travel up to approx. 5%.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; knowledge of recruitment and selection techniques and requirements, federal selection guidelines, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices; knowledge of principles and procedures for training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems; knowledge of behavioral-based interview techniques, tracking processes for applicants and open positions and recruiting metrics.
