Position Responsibilities

We are seeking a Lead Analyst to join our growing finance team! This role will provide the opportunity to lead the annual operating budget process, track and report on performance relative to plans, and manage ongoing rolling forecast updates. This typically includes building and iterating on complex financial models covering all aspects of the business that will enable effective decision making regarding the company’s revenue growth strategy, cost structure, and capital expenditures. It includes establishing, tracking and monitoring key operating metrics used to drive greater business efficiency. Additionally, you will perform ad-hoc analyses to drive business strategy, improve efficiency, and maximize ROI. Financial discipline, fact-based decision-making, and financial visibility are all key facets to this group.

Roles within Financial Planning are responsible for delivering impactful business analysis and playing a key part in driving insightful business decisions and strategy. This also involves playing a key role in partnering with the business and informing leadership of actual and projected performance, as well as analyzing business trends, changes, and new initiatives.

Roles and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Forecast short-range and long-range cash requirements and obligations, as a basis for maintaining adequate funds.

• Financial modeling and analysis including budget variances, key drivers, and action plan

• Support the controller in guiding the management team on risks and opportunities including synthesizing insights, identifying & mitigate risks, validating assumptions, and being proactive in bringing forth recommendations

• Support controller with monthly financial close, with a focus on business reporting. Budget v Actual, Profitability by Channel, Profitability by SKU, etc.

• Support the team with regular financial reporting, metrics and analysis, as well as ad-hoc financial analyses and projects.

• Direct business partnering: Provide financial analysis and guidance on profitability, ROI, pricing, promotional activities, innovation, costs, etc. Utilize financial expertise to guide decisions; advise business partners in financial matters and provide input into business decisions from a financial and strategic business perspective

• Working with the department leads, help drive operational efficiency, growth opportunities and cost saving strategies within the organization

• Monitor inventory levels and advises management regarding variances to budget.
• Build & Maintain company scorecard with KPI’s by Business Unit.

• Understand the business and systems enough to be able to provide ad hoc analysis, commentary and reporting as requested by team members

• Provide analysis (lead, evaluate, challenge assumptions, compare to benchmarks) and insights for specific projects and business strategies

• Educate non-finance business partners on the P&L and key financial metrics to help enhance financial performance and ensuring alignment with company strategies

Position Requirements

· Degree in Accounting or Finance

· A minimum of 5 years’ experience ideally gained through increasingly responsible management positions within Finance

· Knowledge of Quickbooks Enterprise

· Strong Understanding of accounting principles related to GAAP

· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

· Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.

· Self-motivation to work in a remote environment

· Results- and profit-oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations

· Excellent organization skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
