Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Specialist reports to the VP of Finance and will work closely with our other finance team and handle day-to-day administrative accounting tasks such as entering of receipts, follow up on receivables, deposit checks and other tasks as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.

• This position will be primarily tasked with Accounts Receivable activities to include posting receipts, collections, preparing credit reports, coordinate with sales team to resolve disputes on invoices.

• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks.

• Assist AP with matching invoices and entry.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Performs general administrative duties such as answering phones (this is not a common task, but the team is generally sharing the burden during low staffing periods).

Qualifications and Requirements: Education and Experience

• Associates’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred, but not required.

• Three to five years of accounting experience required.

• Must have proficient Microsoft Office experience in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Experience in working on an enterprise level ERP system

• Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

• Highly proficient with accounting software.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to multi-task and balance multiple assignments

• Professional approach, utilizing good judgment and creative problem-solving abilities

• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules set forth; promotes the Company’s safety standards; does not take unneeded risk

• Ability to work independently, positive attitude and a team player

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour
