American University of Sharjah Hiring for Faculty Position in Psychology at United Arab Emirates (AE) Full Time

American University of Sharjah  (AUS) in the United Arab Emirates invites applications for full-time faculty positions in psychology, starting August 2023. As an American-accredited institution in the liberal arts tradition, we seek candidates with a passion for both teaching and research in any area of specialization to join our faculty. Candidates should also indicate any interests, qualifications or experiences related to program development.

Successful candidates will have a PhD in psychology or a closely related field, and professional experience reflecting strong commitments to teaching, research and service. As a university formed on the American model, with English as the language of instruction, we give priority to candidates who have experience in American models of higher education.

Our new undergraduate program in psychology is rapidly growing. We’ve recruited highly motivated student cohorts with internationally recognized student organizations including a psychology club and model chapter of Psi Chi. The program hosts dedicated lab spaces, specialized software and hardware, a research participation pool and support services such as Sona Systems. Our psychology faculty regularly publish in strong peer-reviewed journals, have won internal and external competitive grants, and integrate undergraduates into their lab activities.
