POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Executive Director, American University of Iraq Foundation (AUIF)/Vice President of Advancement American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) this position provides support on a variety of projects including, but not limited to: database management, gift processing, expense processing, prospect research, donor relations, special events logistics, assisting with 990 and Audit preparation, and sending online and direct mail appeals. 

SUPERVISION:

Employee proceeds independently on duties and responsibilities following standard practice. The supervisor is available to address new or unique cases that come up.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate exhibits the following characteristics:

• Knowledge equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree plus 3+ years of effective experience, ideally in a nonprofit or fundraising setting, is required. Must be available evenings and weekends on occasion. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google applications (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and database management. Experience providing support for tax filings and documentation is preferred, as is proficiency in DonorPerfect.
