Summary:

As an integral part of our Accounting team, your role as Payroll/Accounting Specialist will include processing payroll as well as assisting in all areas of Finance and Accounting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Compile payroll data such as hours worked, time sheets, and other records.
• Correctly computes wages and deductions, and posts to payroll records ensuring accuracy.
• Reviews computed wages and corrects errors.
• Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records in a timely manner.
• Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and other necessary government reports.
• Prepares and issues paychecks.
• Coordinates payroll related employee record changes with Personnel Manager.
• Reconciles General Ledger accounts and bank statements.
• Creates journal entries with supporting documentation.
• Creates and maintaining spreadsheets, reports, monthly binders/folders, and key performance indicators/dashboards.
• Assists with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Provides detail to external auditors.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Educations and Experience:

• Two years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
