We have an opportunity at our corporate offices in Chicago for an Education Center Project Administrator on our Publishing and Mission Operations team. This position can be hybrid (working from both office and home), with a schedule to be determined by business needs.
As an Education Center Project Administrator you will expand and enhance the Education Center user experience by supporting the design, development and implementation of features and functionality. Provide project coordination and analysis to further the development of the education activities and platforms for physicians, medical students, hospital and practice administrators, and other healthcare providers. As part of the EC PMO, contribute to the development, implementation and improvement of processes, procedures, and tools that enable successful definition, alignment and execution across EC projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project coordination, communication, and reporting
Manage assigned projects simultaneously, creating and maintaining project plans, updating status reports, and tracking and resolving issues
Define scope of the project in conjunction with stakeholders and AMA Education Center leadership, and obtain approval prior to initiating project plans
Monitor and report progress to all stakeholders including analysis of status and issues with recommendations to support decision-making.
Create and properly maintain documentation for project meetings, collaborator deliverables acceptance, and project change orders
Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet quality standards
Identify, escalate, and resolve issues and risks; take corrective action as needed
Consistently utilize and contribute to improvement of PMO processes, templates and tools
Relationship management
Work with the AMA Education Center team, other AMA business unit resources and vendors to guide the design, development and implementation of content and technology solutions. Foster clear and timely communication and decision-making. Ensure efforts are well integrated and coordinated.
Work in collaboration with other AMA departments (Office of the General Counsel, Risk Management, IT Development, etc.) to ensure Ed Hub content, products and services are compliant with AMA standards and policies and ensure AMA’s reputation and interests are adequately protected.
Evaluate stakeholder satisfaction through proactive communication and formal follow-up.

REQUIREMENTS:
BS or BA degree required, discipline in business, information technology, computer science or related field preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Minimum 3 years professional experience in software development project coordination and management, planning and execution. Experience in both waterfall and agile development environments required and experience with online education a plus.
Demonstrated ability to achieve project deliverables with a strong track record of high quality and on time completion.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to tailor communication style to different audiences (including both technical and non-technical stakeholders) required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Outlook) and experience with project tracking software (e.g. Microsoft Project or SmartSheet) required
Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented; strong analytical and critical thinking skills required. Experience with detailed business analysis, design, data gathering and interfacing with users, including impact analysis, documentation and process flow documentation preferred.
Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a highly matrixed corporate environment as well as to work independently as a self-motivated strong individual contributor.
