American Med Spa Association Hiring for Education Coordinator Job at Chicago, IL Full Time

The American Med Spa Association (AmSpa) is a trade organization focused on providing legal and business resources and education to medical spas and other non-invasive medical aesthetic practices. Along with these resources, AmSpa and its clinical arm, the Academy for Injection Anatomy (AIA) hosts educational events throughout the United States, as well as the Medical Spa Show, an annual national trade show in Las Vegas.

The American Med Spa Association is currently looking for an Education Coordinator to work within AmSpa’s Events department. The Education Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and coordinating agendas for AmSpa’s events, including its regional boot camps; its AIA events; its national trade show, Medical Spa Show, an annual event that takes place in Las Vegas in January/February; and other digital and in-person events hosted by AmSpa, as well as coordinating all online webinar offerings. The position will also manage both logistics and agendas for AmSpa’s on-site training center in Chicago.

For AmSpa’s events, webinars and training center classes, the Education Coordinator will work with the CEO and COO in developing in-demand agenda topics and contracting with industry-leading speakers; collecting materials and Powerpoints in a timely manner; working with CME joint providers and AmSpa vendors; working hand-in-hand with AmSpa’s Events, Marketing, Sales, Content and Membership departments; and other duties as needed. This position will also grow AmSpa’s webinar library by planning and organizing webinar topics regularly throughout the year, as well as scheduling, managing and working directly with speakers for online courses.

The Education Coordinator will work to obtain, organize and maintain CME status, as well as grant applications for AmSpa’s Medical Spa Show, Boot Camps, AIA courses, online courses and other events and endeavors, as needed. This position will also work on the development and eventual maintenance of AmSpa’s credentialing endeavors. Moderate domestic travel is required for this position. This position reports to the COO and CEO.

Responsibilities:

• Organize and coordinate agendas for all AmSpa and AIA events;
• Organize and coordinate Powerpoints for all AmSpa events;
• Work internally to ensure the correct assets are created and available in a timely manner for all educational endeavors, including Powerpoint templates, etc.;
• Manage speaker agreements, speaker communications, COIs for CME events, contracts, etc. for all AmSpa events;
• Manage both logistics and agendas for AmSpa’s on-site training center in Chicago;
• Grow AmSpa’s webinar library by planning and organizing webinar topics regularly throughout the year, as well as scheduling, managing and working directly with speakers for online courses;
• Obtain, organize and maintain CME and grant status for AmSpa’s Medical Spa Show, Boot Camp, AIA Trainings, online events, and other events, as needed;
• Assist in the development and maintenance of AmSpa’s credentialing and certification endeavors;
• Identify, communicate with and organize speaker interactions and honorariums for all AmSpa events;
• Work with Marketing, Sales, Events, Content and Membership to maintain updated content for all upcoming educational endeavors;
• Compile speaker bios and headshots, and share as needed;
• Work directly with Content and Marketing to compile Medical Spa Show program annually with up-to-date educational and faculty-driven content;
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
Applicants for this position must:

• Have a 4-year college degree;
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Products, Powerpoint, Typeform and Outlook;
• Be detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to multitask;
• Be a self-starter and be able to work independently;
• Be great at research with a willingness to learn about the medical spa industry, and its hot topics and speakers; existing familiarity with the medical aesthetics industry a plus;
• Be open-minded and willing to explore different avenues;

Pay: $55,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
Our working environment is hybrid, meaning all the members of our team are in the office three days per week with two days working from home. This is our structure and not just a COVID precaution.
