Job Description

Sorting, picking, and processing scrap metals

Clean and inspect recycling yard by sweeping and raking materials and debris

Assist with performing routine maintenance

Perform other general labourer duties as assigned

Qualifications

A Minimum of 1 year of experience is required in a general labourer role

Experience in the metal scrap industry will be considered as an asset

Experience in using machines like Lift Truck / Forklift, Skid steer will be considered as an asset

Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time

Successful candidates must be highly motivated and work with little supervision

HOURS OF WORK

Permanent and full-time position

44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Must work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and follow in accordance with AIM’s Health and Safety policies and procedures

Responsible for reporting all accidents, illnesses, or ‘near miss’ incidents to management
