American Healthcare REIT Hiring for Senior Accounting Officer Job at Irvine, CA Full Time

Well established, dynamic company seeking a highly-skilled and experienced senior accounting officer to join our growing public company. In this position, you will be essential to the coordination and supervision of the accounting department, delegating work and ensuring the staff follows all current GAAP and company policies and procedures. You must be able to process large amounts of accounting and operating information, analyze results, and make changes where necessary to benefit the company

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Lead Company’s efforts to further enhance the operations of the Accounting function to facilitate execution of a variety of strategic initiatives
• Recruit, manage, oversee and inspire accounting department personnel
• Partner with CEO/CFO to appropriately staff the REIT finance and accounting teams to be capable of supporting a growth and business plan of the company
• Ensure that implemented controls, systems, financial statements, and disclosures all facilitate the Company in order to possibly pursue an initial public offering
• Collaborate with other Senior Executive team members to analyze accounting and tax implications for all material business transactions/decisions (e.g., acquisitions/dispositions, consolidation, impairment analysis, purchase accounting, FFO/AFFO calculations, etc.). Document related accounting positions and coordinate with external auditors
• Establish efficient processes and procedures that facilitate timely reporting to management and also enable the Company to meet public company reporting timelines
• Coordinate with CFO to oversee treasury management, loan compliance and reporting, analyze potential transactions and compliance functions. Provide support, as needed, for financing transactions
• Coordinate with VP of Tax to oversee REIT and partnership tax compliance/planning, and transaction structuring
• Monitor technical accounting, regulatory, and financial reporting developments to ensure Company maintains compliance with current and developing standards and regulations. Represent the Company in industry groups (e.g., NAREIT, etc.) as appropriate and required
• Maintain dialogue with Board of Directors regarding accounting and other financial management issues and participate in Audit Committee meetings

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE :

• BS in Accounting or related major with strong accounting content.
• Demonstrated experience with real estate investment accounting and managing an accounting function.
• Big-4 Accounting training highly preferred
• 10 years + experience and 4 years plus in management role
• Substantial experience with public companies and related SEC filings
• CPA required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $170,000.00 – $210,000.00 per year
