With little supervision, works with engineers, mechanical designers, manufacturing, suppliers, and marketing by performing large, complex engineering assignments related to the creation, development and/or improvement of product designs. Makes independent studies, analysis, interpretations and conclusions.
Results are not generally reviewed in detail except when key decisions are required and major milestones are achieved.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is required A minimum of 4 years engineering experience.
The ideal candidate would have a strong background in product engineering. Experience conducting drawing reviews, releasing parts for tooling, evaluating dimensional s, and approving the parts for production would be ideal skills for this candidate.
Skill sets: 1) Good communication skills – collaborating with internal manufacturing plants and suppliers to get alignment on engineering drawings prior to tool release.
2) Good Problem solving skills – ability to quickly determine root cause and corrective action to a problem.
3) Experience approving parts for production and working with manufacturing/suppliers – Evaluating and approving dimensional s of parts and working with manufacturing to make an acceptable product to our customers. A strong background working with manufacturing facilities and suppliers would be ideal. A broad range of manufacturing process knowledge including aluminum extrusions and cnc machining a plus.
The position requires the ability to work on-site.
