Basic Functions

Respect Amcor Rigid Plastics primary focus that is to ensure the “Safety” of the employees.

Must follow Amcor’s policies and procedures to ensure good manufacturing practices are maintained as per company’s standards.

Responsible for compliance of all Federal/Provincial/Local regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABLILTIES:
To observe all safety rules/regulations and perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsible for creating and adjusting the daily work schedule for the Packers and Blenders and for supervising packers.

Perform in process inspection – quality of bottles and help in start-ups so that all quality standards are met.

To help in material controls and usage for good quality production and scrap accounting.

Reviews /print the Production orders and to understand what machines/products are being manufactured.

Assist in resolving employee concerns and be involved in the discipline to be administered to employee.

Contact the Blenders and inform them of the blending material requirements for the shift.

Ensure that the communication from the previous shift Quality Inspector and the oncoming shift Quality Inspector has taken place and that they discussed all pertinent information regarding manufacturing issues (orders, machine issues, staffing…).

Perform first piece inspections, perform in-process inspections and perform final inspections and enter data in Real SPC software.

Performs periodic inspections on production lines to insure that the products are within acceptable limits (Color, position,). Contact mechanic and report any non-conforming issues.

Training of packers on each machine to insure clear understanding of process, procedures and quality standards.

Print work order for all coming order as per the schedule in SAP MII and verify the information.

Checks emails and response for any queries regarding bottles or quality issues.

Create hold tickets, if found non-conforming bottles, check and verify all supporting document for HFI and close it.

Responsible for conversation with packer/blenders regarding any quality issues/customer complaint.

Helping with SAP for production schedule, packers login, to create scarp ticket whenever needed.

Attend QC meetings and discuss any quality issues.

Follow up on critical jobs/quality issues with mechanics and resolve it

Assist in analyzing Quality System performance using available data from statistical processes, audit information, etc.

Be attentive to inconsistencies, inefficiencies, and processes in need of improvement.

Ensure all GMP and guidelines are followed in the plant

Assist Quality Manager with the proper organization, retention and maintenance of quality records.

SECONDARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide training and assistance to QC’s, Packers, & Blenders as needed.

Serves as shift coordinator.

Report non-compliance of policies to local management.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and skills required

A. REQUIRED

Possess a high level of attention-to-detail and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Be willing to work various shifts, hours, and overtime as required.

Maintain an exceptional level of attendance and punctuality.

Must have the necessary skills to perform reading, writing and mathematics in English as required.

The requirements and training are not limited to the above and could be modified depending on job assignment. Requirements may include other duties as assigned by management.

This is an hourly position that reports to the Quality Tech Specialist/Plant Quality Manager.

Schedule: 12 hour night shifts. Must be available for weekend shifts. Overtime and on-calls may also be required.
