Senior Accounts Assistant

Location: Remote Working, option to use office space in London

Work Pattern: Permanent – Full-time or Part-time considered

Salary: £30,000- £45,000 FTE depending on experience

With demand for our services from our clients at an all-time high and continuous growth and success within our market sector, we are expanding our back-office team and keen to recruit a talented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance department.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant you will support the company’s finance operations and report to the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing monthly management accounts

• Consolidating and reporting on cost/revenue information from different internal sources e.g., consultant timesheets from harvest and recruitment costs from Monday

• Overseeing payroll preparation and submission

• Setting up and maintaining project accounting and cost centres within Xero

• Preparing customer rebates

• Preparing information required for R&D tax credits

• Approve weekly supplier payment runs

• Managing and reporting on cash flow, including using Float

• Providing strategic advice and governance on managing costs and cashflow given knowledge of present and upcoming costs

• Managing communications on financial queries, through inbox management for the finance email, with the support of the junior accounts assistant. Queries will be from a range of parties including internal team members; clients and suppliers, our external accounting support team and HMRC

• General and ad-hoc admin duties for the Finance Manager

Requirements:

• Extensive previous Accounts experience required.
• Relevant accounting qualification (AAT qualified and/or part-qualified and working towards qualification CIMA or ACCA).
• Knowledge of financial control, budgeting and forecasting in a complex organisation.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
• Working knowledge of using Xero desirable.
• Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel and MS Office applications.
• Well organised with a high attention to detail.
