Key job responsibilities

In this role, you’ll be building cutting edge and highly distributed systems to support merchants around the world selling on Amazon in mobile and desktop experiences. You will join a highly technical and entrepreneurial culture defining and building the next generation of delivery experience for 3rd party merchants. Selling on Amazon is one of the fastest growing businesses at Amazon.com with about one-third of all items currently sold originating from 3rd party merchants.

This Software Development position is for a new project where innovation and latest technologies merge to build brand new features and capabilities for sellers and end customers.

This SDE position will be working on multiple new projects to enable sellers to serve business customers effectively build next generation platforms leveraging new AWS technologies.

We are looking for an engineer to join this team and help lead the software development efforts that bring our technology stack to the next level while defining a re-usable architecture that can improve the speed of innovation. You will collaborate with Dev teams, TPMs and PMs from Marketplace and Fulfillment across Amazon to improve the current Seller experience.

• Experience operating and maintaining production software.
• Experience mentoring and coaching others.
• Demonstrated best-practice software engineering including some aspects of agile methodologies, unit testing, refactoring, code reviews, continuous build and deployment processes.
• Advanced coding skills (concurrency, profiling and performance optimization).
• Designed and built complex systems (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Basic familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React).
• Linux/UNIX (command-line tools, shell scripts, operations).
• Experience in data manipulation and analysis.
