• 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems
• 3+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• 2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team

Our team includes engineers, PMs, research scientists and business intelligence engineers. We’re looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to join us to help design and decide on new technologies, lead the implementation of projects, and mentor junior engineers. One of the biggest problems that we have is figuring out which reviews are real and which are fake. In this role, you will build the systems that collect this information at scale and work with the science team to build systems that measure, collect, and audits these decisions at scale. You’ll build both front-end and backend systems that will be used by teams across the world to facilitate this.

Job responsibilities

• MS or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Understanding of CI/CD and Agile software engineering practices
• Background in support for large scale application implementations.
• Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems
• Experience mentoring software engineers
• Strong sense of ownership and drive
• Comfortable working across multiple teams and organizations
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills
