Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer for Amazon Robotics applications, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with other engaged, friendly, principles-first thinking oriented engineers to understand customer use cases and implement core engineering capabilities for Amazon’s enormous fulfillment network
• Operate across multiple layers of the stack to design and build fault-tolerant distributed systems that optimize our fleet of fulfillment infrastructure and robots.
• Inventing new features, designing, developing and deploying reliable applications
• Challenging and mentoring other engineers
• Participate in software architecture and design reviews.
• Translating business and functional requirements into deliverable software and customer experience
• Develop tools to test and analyze complex systems, including those deployed in production, and dig into critical pieces of distributed systems like logging, tracing, metrics.
• Code with no fear, supported by continuous builds, tests, a constructive code-review process, and a supportive culture of identifying and fixing bugs

You will tackle challenging situations every day and you’ll have the opportunity to work with multiple technical teams at Amazon. A day in the life

As a Software Engineer on one of the Amazon Robotics software teams, you will be part of an exciting, diverse team that is responsible for developing and deploying novel software systems with User Experience and Customer Obsession at its core that impact hundreds of users for every minute of their working day!

You will own software applications and systems that enables human supervisory control of automated tasks. The mission of this team is to deliver production quality software at Amazon scale with User Experience at the core. You will collaborate cross-functionally to develop new pioneering applications in a highly exciting and innovative environment.
