ABOUT THE ROLE

The Clinical Education Support Officer provides support in the development, implementation and delivery of high-quality clinical training/education to Amana Living Training Institute’s internal and external clients under the guidance of Training Operations Coordinator and Clinical Education Coordinator.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides support to the Clinical Education Coordinator on clinical initiatives and assists in the development of clinical education course materials and resources
• Regular review of Clinical training programs to ensure they align with organisational need
• Develops and coordinates carer competencies as required
• Deliver face-to-face training as determined by your Manager
• Conduct training assessments, report and record learning outcomes to individual students and the respective Manager within agreed timeframes
• Assists with the planning, implementing, and evaluating of all clinical and non-clinical training/programs required
• Conduct Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessments for students if required
• Conduct on the job assessments
• Responsible for the coordination of the materials repository
• Maintain up to date clinical, technical, vocational and industry knowledge as determined by accrediting bodies and your Manager
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and document them in the Continuous Improvement Register
• Maintains client confidentiality

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

• Must be a Registered Nurse
• Have an up to date Police clearance or will to obtain one
• Experience in a similar role would be desirable
• Broad knowledge of educational theory, including knowledge of Adult Learning Principles
• Cert IV in TAE would be desirable
• Demonstrated ability in the development of training programs
• High Attention to detail
• Degree or equivalent in L&D or related discipline would be desirable
