Summary of the role

Quality is at the core of our business and we are looking for an enthusiastic Quality Assurance Engineer to work on our world-leading airline Departure Control System (DCS) platform. As a QA Engineer, you will be responsible for test strategy, UI-based testing and functional sign-off, as well as for continuously enriching the automated tests suite and ensuring compliance and system integrity. You will drive the adoption of best practices to improve quality in the team and beyond, taking an active role in the QA community, and coach/support our airline customer during the UAT phase.

In this role you’ll

• Be part of an Agile Scrum team of technical, functional, and business domain experts to develop customer facing Web and Mobile application
• Work with the Product Owner, Business Analyst and Development Team in grooming the team’s backlog and presenting all testing considerations (strategy, effort, dependency, etc.)
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies – daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, demo, and sprint retrospectives
• Contribute to Test Strategy & overall approach to Functional, Integration, E2E, Regression testing
• Wherever applicable participate and help facilitate customer communication that focuses on clarifying requirements and gathering feedback
• Developing automated scripts, enhance the automation framework to test product releases to Customers. Provide Test & Automation strategies that suites to the success of the Product
• Contribute in generating a report related to software and delivery quality for internal and external stakeholders
• Initiate, identify and implement improvements on test and team processes to ensure delivery of high-quality work output
• Develop “quality excellence” and “customer service” mindset within team and influence other functions (development, business analysis) within the scrum team

About the ideal candidate

• Strong understanding and hands on experience of test strategy, scope, efforts, automation, E2E regression testing
• Experience in use of any test management tool preferably ALM/Octane & JIRA
• Experienced with VBScript, Python and SOAP automation testing
• Familiar with Appium, Jenkins
• Should have hands on experience in Automation testing framework and tools on web & mobile apps (Selenium, Robo, UFT, playwright)
• knowledge on configuration, setting up the test environment for Backend & GUI applications
• Strong experience in agile work culture
• Strong analytical skills. Proven ability to analyze and solve problems effectively and quickly

Desired, but not essential

• Good knowledge on CI /CD process and building a pipeline for project needs
• Experience in testing API’s
• Experience in Travel domain is a plus
