Billing Assistant (Immediately Available)

Due to the growth of the European business we require additional resource within our Billing team to ensure we continue to provide the required service levels to our project teams. The Billing team are currently a team of seven and are part of the wider Finance team of thirty-three based in the European Head Office in London.
The Billing team raise and process all invoices for our offices across the UK, Europe, Russia, UAE and the Cayman Islands. The successful applicant will report to the Billing Supervisor and work alongside the current Billing Assistants and help with the day to day activities in the Accounts Receivable function using our Agresso accounting package.
This role is key to our internal reporting and transactions often require a great deal of thought and understanding to make sure that client profitability and staff metrics are correctly reported.
Key Responsibilities
Working in a team of seven sharing workload equally with responsibility for selected business units
Preparing invoices for selected business units for Alvarez & Marsal offices in Europe, Russia and the Middle East.
Overseeing and effecting compliant client take on procedures
Assisting with queries relating to the regular reporting of WIP, debtors and collections
Liaising with project teams on the required invoice allocations
Processing of invoices and allocation of receipts into Agresso
Assisting with the month end procedures
Skills and qualifications
Experience in professional services
Billing in a multicurrency environment
Good understanding of VAT principles
Excellent levels of accuracy with strong organisational skills
You will be a natural team player who can interact easily with your colleagues and have strong communication skills, and a good sense of humour.
Deadline orientated and able to prioritise
Competency with excel and word
