About This Role

The goal of marketing at Alumni Ventures is to generate new retail investors (customers) for our dozens of venture capital funds.

Our digitally-led marketing strategy is a mix of B2C and B2B disciplines, with paid and organic social, paid search, media partnerships, lead generation, landing pages, email marketing, and more as critical to the success of the business.

Under the direction of the VP of Performance Marketing, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the creation and management of direct-response, performance-focused digital advertising campaigns, specifically within the financial services industry or other high-end B2C.

In partnership with the Performance Marketing team, you will develop and execute engaging multi-channel digital advertising campaigns to efficiently generate high quality leads for multiple lines of business.

Success in this role looks like : strong lead generation and delivery on established targets, clear ad spend management, and high advertising efficiency.

This role is responsible for an essential activity in the AV ecosystem – driving new leads into the marketing and sales funnel.

You will be looked to as a specialist in your field and as a key contributor to AV’s continued growth, leveraging your collaborative search strategies and your keen eye for detail to affect material change across Alumni Ventures.

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and optimize dozens of digital advertising campaigns per month for our various funds with a high degree of autonomy
• Develop and execute digital marketing strategies aligned with the overall demand generation goals and diverse business objectives
• Deliver on monthly targets for lead generation including, but not limited to : ROI, lead conversion and cost per contact
• Analyze and on campaign performance via ad platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Google) and AV’s CRM system (HubSpot)
• Bring new creative and strategic ideas to improve lead generation efficiency via paid advertising

Requirements :

• Education : Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
• Experience : Established expertise in digital marketing (2- 4 years) with a strong record of success on platforms including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google Ads
• Technology : Aptitude for using marketing technology to deliver successful digital marketing strategies to the market. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience using the following or similar platforms :
• HubSpot
• Marketing automation technology
• Google Ads
• Facebook Ad Manager
• LinkedIn Ads
• Creative : Experience writing creative and high-performing digital ad copy
• Analytical : You are passionate about intelligently measuring and assessing results of your campaigns, and utilizing that data to improve campaign performance
• Teamwork : You are a solid team player and prioritize the ability to get along with a variety of personalities

Desired Traits

• Knowledge of PPC and SEO
• Knowledge of programmatic advertising
• Experience with graphic design tools, including Canva or Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
• Experience managing outside agencies and vendors

Competencies

• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage dozens of campaigns simultaneously and without error
• Proficient in creating and optimizing campaigns, including creative, bidding, and targeting in LinkedIn Ads Manager and Facebook Business Manager
• Analysis and ing on ad campaigns
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with specific demonstrated experience writing digital ad copy
• Building campaign tracking links and using those tracking links to analyze and on campaign performance
• Demonstrated interest in marketing financial services or high-end consumer goods and services
