The opportunity
Reporting to the VP. Total Rewards and Technology, we have a newly created opportunity for a Director, HR Operations. You will take ownership of our HR technology systems and processes, creating alignment across the global organization. You will be a crucial player at the decision-making level, championing best practices, introducing strategy, and ensuring optimal engagement with our systems.

Our new Director, HR Operations, will:
Be a trusted advisor and consultant. You will provide strategic direction internally in consultation with HR executives, finance and other key stakeholders to understand organizational needs. You will enhance the manager and employee experience, add new systems capabilities, and allow greater HR analytics and insights.
Execute and enhance the technology strategy. You will oversee the management, optimization, and compliance of HR technology and systems. You will map HR processes, aligning stakeholders to efficient global processes, driving improvements, providing practical and compliant HR services, including the onboarding of new employees.
Manage HR technology systems. You will explore opportunities for further Workday administration simplification, automation, dashboard reporting, workforce and talent analytics and insights. You will recommend improvements, new applications, new processes and data flows.
Champion. You will advocate best practices and lead the way for the adoption of processes and systems. You will increase awareness of the system’s benefits and capabilities and create and implement a comprehensive communication and education strategy for technology philosophy and programs.
Oversee system data governance. You will design, build, and execute efficient and accurate control structures to ensure data quality; and compliance with organizational data governance policies and data protection laws by jurisdiction.
Report on key metrics. You will consolidate and interpret centralized analyses and reporting for a variety of stakeholders.
Manage external relationships. You will manage vendors for HR technology, ensure employee data flows cleanly and securely from Workday to third-party systems, monitor internal and external service levels, and conduct business reviews to optimize services costs.
Empower internal teams. You will pivot Altus to a manager/employee self-serve culture through HR technology, enabling HR transactions and data analysis. You will provide support and accessible guidance to help managers/employees.
Provide strategic leadership. You will act as a thought leader and hands-on collaborator within the HR Operations and Technology team, ensuring standards, objectives, and continual improvement goals are achieved. You will promote knowledge sharing and close collaboration within the HR team to ensure consistent interpretation and administration of the Total Reward programs.
Our new Director, HR Operations will have:
The experience. You have built your career in Human Resources over the last ten years, developing a deep understanding of processes and enterprise-level HR Systems. You can translate HR and business policies into business requirements, technical system specifications and efficient business processes.
The thought-leadership. You thrive in a leadership role where you can inspire and advise teams and peers across inter-disciplinary groups. You are comfortable working with a globally distributed team, and you appreciate diverse opinions and approaches. You are a champion of best practices, continuously learning and staying ahead of the curve.
The technical skills. You have expertise using and optimizing Workday HCM & Workday Report Writer, ideally exposure to additional modules. You have hands-on experience with other HR systems and integrations (Service Now, Jitterbit, Sailpoint, ADP, Skillsoft, HireVue etc.). You are highly analytical and can create spreadsheets and intelligent, insightful and straightforward HR reports, analytics and dashboards.
The project management skills. You have end-to-end project planning and delivery experience to gain buy-in and engagement with end-users, including change management and education. You can expertly influence and drive the work of various stakeholders involved in a project, prioritize multiple projects, and balance changing priorities.
The interpersonal skills. You have exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills. You can create effective business documentation ranging from end-user guides and training to project updates and general communications. You can translate technical information for non-technical audiences. You have outstanding relationship-building and collaboration skills.
