Year End Accountant | £350 – £400/day | 6 Months (Interim) | Consumer Industry
Are you a Year End Accountant looking for your next opportunity? Altum Consulting are currently supporting a number of our clients across the Consumer, Retail and Media industries to source talented Year End Accountants to join their teams and support them in the New Year.
Candidates will be considered for immediate interview and start paying £350-£400/day.
Key Requirements:

• Financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of monthly Management Accounts, P&L review, and Balance Sheet for Year End.
• Fixed Assets – including creation of an asset register on Sage Supporting the development and implementation of effective, efficient, and scalable processes, driving automation where possible
• Prepayments and accruals – as required Month end commission reconciliations Review of Bank reconciliations
• Detailed P&L analysis Audit assistance VAT reconciliations Payroll reconciliation Commission reconciliation and accrual Ad hoc tasks as required.
• Be heavily involved in and responsible for the delivery of year end reporting and audit requirements, including group consolidations and technical accounting support.
• It requires the ability to work at significant pace as well as prioritise and hit extremely tight deadlines. A proactive mindset and strong attention to detail will be key.
• Applicants must be immediately available or able to interview at short notice.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Fully Qualified ACA / ACCA / CIMA
• Have experience reporting under UK and/or US GAAP
• Have experience managing financial projects and integrating quickly into a finance team
• Have strong knowledge of accounting systems, SAP / Dynamics 365
• Willing to commit to a contract duration 3-6 months.
