We are looking for a diligent individual with strong attention to detail and a commercial mindset to join the support the team during one of the most exciting times in TOG’s strong growth orientated history.
The role will report into the Head of Department, working closely with the rest of the department and with a key emphasis on teamwork to help deliver our goals and objectives. On top of regular business partnering and reporting responsibilities, there needs to be a desire to help and support wherever needed. As such, work will be varied and interesting and will offer a breadth of experience across all areas of the business.
The candidate should have a high level of numeracy and strong attention to detail, as well as the ability to work across numerous projects simultaneously and liaise professionally and coherently with other departments within the company. Advanced Excel skills are necessary, as it an aptitude for using PowerPoint to create presentations and reports. An understanding of SAP is preferable, as is an aptitude for data visualisation tools such as Power BI, as TOG strives to improve the level of support that the Commercial Finance function is able to provide to the wider business
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering – Development of a strong working relationship with certain department heads – Act as a point of contact within the finance team – Ad hoc as well as regular reporting and delivery of quarterly presentation on performance and future forecast – Annual budgeting and quarterly re-forecasting cycles
Project Accounting – Management of all financial areas of the project – Working closely with the Project Director and external cost consultants – Reporting to Head of Commercial Finance on the status of projects, any deviation to underwrite and the impact on commercial viability of the project – Continued commercial analysis to aid decision making and submission for approval of overspends through the appropriate channels – Monthly internal reporting and quarterly external reporting, including detailed bridge between iterations
Cash flow forecasting – Analysis of historic cashflows – Forecasting of future project cashflows – Assisting in the preparation of landlord contribution submissions and third party debt drawdowns as necessary
Strong commercial awareness – Highly numerate – Ability to compute and interpret key profitability ratios – Good understanding of the real estate sector and preferably the flex office market
Education and qualifications
– Educated to degree level or equivalent – Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA or other – 1 – 2 years post qualified
