We have about 40 employees during the summer, sharing our commitment to outstanding service and creating a friendly and comfortable atmosphere for our guests that come from all over the world for weddings, conferences, and events at our historic mountain lodge.   We strive for excellence in our work and we are equally passionate about our recreation and our community in Alta. Our summer season this year runs from May 31st to October 9th.  Alta Lodge is open for events and lodging Thursday-Sunday, so most of our staff works longer shifts over the weekend and is typically able to have Monday-Wednesday off to play in the mountains and deserts of Utah.  

At the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains, Alta is known for its steep terrain, backcountry access, and nearly 550 inches yearly average of the best snow anywhere.  When the snow melts in the summers, Alta and Little Cottonwood Canyon are home to miles of hiking and biking trails, world-class rock climbing, pristine alpine lakes, and an abundance of beautiful wildflowers.  Beyond recreating, Alta has a thriving community in the summers, with Sunday volleyball, free yoga classes, and other fun events sponsored by our local community organization, Alta Community Enrichment.
