ALSTOM Hiring for Buyer/Planer at La Pocatiere, QC Full Time

The supply chain is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Buyer/Planner. The person (incumbent), according to the directives and procedures in force, negotiates with the suppliers for the obtaining of equipment, supplies and services as soon as possible and under possible conditions. The person is responsible for monitoring deliveries, managing non-conformities, and resolving invoices issues.

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

• Track deliveries according to dates agreed in the purchase order;
• Purchases and/or negotiates according to the standards and methods established for obtaining the various items specified on the specifications: engineering, technical description, and inventory requirements as soon as possible and under the best condition;
• Communicate with the various project managers, engineers, and technicians to obtain any additional information required by suppliers or propose, for approval, appropriate substitutes;
• Ensure and verify the preparation of purchase order and/or contractual agreement before presentation for approval to the superior;
• Communicate and resolve parts nonconformity issues with suppliers, quality assurance and engineering;
• Resolve billing issues with suppliers.

REQUIRED PROFIL:
Qualifications et functional knowledge

• BAC in administration, operation et logistics option or DEC in administration, industrial management option, , AEC in procurement or the equivalent;
• 3 years in a manufacturing environment and/or experience in purchasing industrial products (asset);
• Fluent in French and good knowledge of English;
• Detail oriented;
• Autonomy and rigor;
• Under pressure work.

Technical skills

• Knowledge of SAP et Lotus note (asset);
• Excellent communicator and team worker.
• Office suite Knowledge.
