AlphaMinds Academy Hiring for Mathematics Teacher for Grades K- (Part Time, In-Person) at Jersey City, NJ Full Time

Alpha Minds Academy is seeking to hire an experienced, passionate and dedicated Elementary School Math Teacher to join our team for the school year 2023-34. This is a part time position and availability to work on Saturdays starting on September 9, 2023 for the duration of the school year 2023-24 is required.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Singapore Math, as well as a proven track record of success in teaching this approach to mathematics. Experience teaching K-3 grades is required.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive lessons in mathematics, using the Singapore Math approach, to students in grades K-2
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for all students
• Assess and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to students and their families
• Incorporate technology and other educational resources into the classroom to enhance student learning
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and assessment data

Requirements:

• Availability to work on Saturdays between the hours of 9 am and 12:30 pm is a must
• Additional availability on weekdays after 4pm is preferable
• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Mathematics or a related field
• Experience teaching mathematics in a elementary school setting
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore Math approach and its teaching methodologies
• Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and colleagues
• Excellent classroom management skills
