Alpha Omega Aged Care Pty Ltd Hiring for Company Accountant Job at Sydney Full Time

Alpha Omega Aged Care Pty Ltd is a customer focused registered NDIS and aged care service provider, currently based in Cabramatta providing care services to all Sydney metropolitan areas. We are looking for a Company Accountant to join us on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Company Director, the purpose of the role is to assist in the delivery of high quality, efficient and accurate financial, management and statutory reporting services whilst complying with organizational policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislative requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the business unit Managers with budgeting.

• Introducing best practice procedures and policies.

• Preparing financial statements and ensuring accuracy of information in reports.

• Conducting month end financial reviews in line with statutory requirements.

• Providing business insights to the operational team based on audits and investigations and resolving issues as required.

• Maintaining compliance with professional accounting standards at all times.

• Advising business unit Managers on financial and taxation issues.

• Monthly reporting to Governance team on key finance team indicators.

To apply for the role, you must have the following:

• Tertiary degree in accounting or related discipline

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience with demonstrated experience in professional accounting.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.

• Sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices including Australian Accounting Standards, Australian tax legislation and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).

• Sound knowledge of budgeting principles and practices.

• Current Valid Police Check.
