Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is seeking to fill the position of Chief Finance Officer. The Chief Finance Officer will work directly with the Treasurer, Board of Directors and s directly to the International President/CEO with a dotted line ing relationship to the Executive Director. The Chief Finance Officer is accountable for the overall leadership, management, and day to day operations of the finance office.
This includes providing financial and administrative support to the Board of Directors, Corporate staff and members of the organization and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures. In addition, the Chief Finance Officer will be focused on performance outcomes, excellent problem solving and will be a strong communicator. Maintaining the ongoing financial health and integrity of the organization.
She/He will assist with leading the corporate finance team on a day-to-day basis linking the organization’s strategies and developing finance initiatives to drive business strategies to the work performed daily to deliver measurable results. The Chief Finance Officer has overall responsibility for the organization’s finance staff, including talent selection, development, assessment, and reward strategies. Effective delegation, results orientation and employee coaching are key leadership traits expected.
