About the role
Under the direction of an Accountant, you will be playing a support role by undertaking standardised accounts processing in a high volume, continuously improving and maintaining, quality and internal controls in a customer focussed framework.

Responsibilities

• Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and end of year manual and electronic accounts receivable activities for an assigned area of the business.
• Assist internal customers in person, by telephone and in writing with processing, system familiarisation, and troubleshooting
• Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and end of year manual and electronic accounts payable activities for an assigned area of the business
• Undertake daily, monthly, quarterly and end of year debtor management activities including telephone contact, written contact, and internal reporting
• Participate in the telephone system overflow roster, reception relief and in other shared corporate activities.

Skills and Experience

• Undergraduate qualification in Commerce, Accounting or Business
• 2 years’ experience in finance or payroll
• Experience in using electronic accounts processing software
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
• Highly effective interpersonal skills including proficient written and oral communication skills
• Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable
