WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
â— Reconciliation of all banks across the group
â— Complete month end bank recs with supporting documentation
â— Post journals for bank transactions and intercompany journals
â— Work with accounts payable to review all supplier payments and ensure they have been booked
correctly
â— Work with accounts receivable to review all customer receipts and ensure they have been booked
correctly
â— Investigating and managing any payment discrepancies through to resolution
â— Dealing with queries from the wider team on banking transactions
â— Administration and reconciliation of staff credit cards on a monthly basis
â— Manage the relationship with G4S and own the following:

THE ROLE
The management accounting team is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of the monthly accounts. A key aspect of this is the reconciliation and correct allocation of the bank accounts.
As an accounts assistant you will be part of a team of 5 within the management accounting department reporting to one of the finance managers. If you move fast, and think fast, this fast paced environment will be right for you. You will pay strong attention to detaill and have the ability to work on your own initiative. You will also have strong written and verbal English communications skills.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
â— Reconciliation of all banks across the group
â— Complete month end bank recs with supporting documentation
â— Post journals for bank transactions and intercompany journals
â— Work with accounts payable to review all supplier payments and ensure they have been booked
correctly
â— Work with accounts receivable to review all customer receipts and ensure they have been booked
correctly
â— Investigating and managing any payment discrepancies through to resolution
â— Dealing with queries from the wider team on banking transactions
â— Administration and reconciliation of staff credit cards on a monthly basis
â— Manage the relationship with G4S and own the following:
- Manage all merchant portals (admin for CE/BP and IT) and ownership of merchant fees across
the group
- Liaison with stores in the UK & Europe on the co-ordination of cash deliveries & collection
â— Be a ‘2nd in command’ of treasury tasks assisting with tasks as needed and during periods of the year
whilst they take leave
â— Reconcile external loans and post relevant interest (i.e. BAML)
â— Assisting with mid and year end audits
WHAT SKILLS DO I NEED FOR THIS ROLE?
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Intermediate level excel user
- A meticulous eye for detail
- A natural ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, ever changing environment
- A team player who works collaboratively
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, whilst able to prioritise workload
- An innate desire to achieve the best possible results for the brand
