Alliance Resource Group Hiring for Corporate Controller – Manufacturer Job at Gardena, CA Full Time

Alliance Resource Group has partnered with a rapidly growing manufacturing company that is looking to add a sophisticated Controller to help transform their accounting department. We are looking for someone who can lead a team of 9, ERP experience, accounting transformation success, and someone who is strong with accounting KPI’s. The ideal candidate is going to be able to develop staff, help reduce cost, comes with inventory experience and comfortable being in the office 4 days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for the day to day leadership and management of the corporate accounting functions.
• Organize, direct and control general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and international consolidations.
• Monitor and research changes in GAAP reporting requirements and implement changes as appropriate.
• Analytic review of preliminary financial results for possible adjustments
• Develop and maintain strategic plans, goals and objectives to help ensure business growth and operations effectiveness.
• Prepare monthly financials, help with due diligence process of possible M&A opportunities.
• Lead global accounting and finance processes in China and the US.
• Perform the accounting for technical and complex transactions including purchase accounting, equity, share-based compensation, impairment analysis and others
• Responsible for accounting policies and procedures
• Maintain the relationship with the external auditors, as well as manage the quarterly reviews and annual audit.
• Support internal audit function.
• Assist in the review, procurement and maintenance of corporate insurance programs.
• Present financial performance to executive management team.

REQUIREMENTS:

• A bachelor’s or advanced degree, ideally in accounting or finance, with at least 8 years of strong accounting experience
• CPA or MBA is highly preferred
• Preferred experience working in transportation/logistics firm; US GAAP guidelines
• Strong budget and forecasting experience
• Strong financial analysis
• Experience overseeing supervising, directing, and coaching staff
• Excellent experience in technical accounting.

Compensation: up to $185k base salary + competitive bonus + excellent benefits
