Job Title: Civil/Structural – Senior Technician / Technician

Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full Time – Permanent

Allen Gordon LLP is an independent civil and structural engineering consultancy providing design services to a wide variety of public and private sector clients across Scotland. Founded over 50 years ago, the firm operates from offices in Inverness, Perth, and Stirling.

About the role:

We are currently looking for a Senior Technician / Technician, to support the preparation of designs within our Inverness office including site survey work, preparations of drawings and specifications and interfacing with clients, contractors, and other designers.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for preparation of civil and/or structural designs and specifications.
• Respond to queries from other designers, contractors, and clients as appropriate.
• Assisting in management of junior team members.
• Ensure company procedures and relevant codes, specifications, and legislation including CDM Regulations are followed.
• Support project team in areas of particular knowledge or experience.

About you:

• Minimum HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or related subject (or equivalent experience).
• Knowledge in wide range of civil engineering areas preferably including water related infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects.
• Working knowledge of relevant Standards, Codes of Practice and Guidance.
• Detailed knowledge of compliance with CDM regulations 2015.
• High proficiency in AutoCad.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong communication skills including written and presentational.
• Ability to work within team with minimum supervision.
• Full driving license or willingness to attain.
