HR Manager Responsibilities:
As the HR Manager you will be responsible for:
Organising the recruitment of new staff
Overseeing onboarding
Managing training and appraisals of staff
Defining and managing HR strategy
Leading on HR initiatives
Defining and managing core HR policies
Managing Payroll system updates
Supporting SMT in all HR matters

HR Manager Experience
This role would suit an individual with a passion for biomedical topics, looking to utilise their existing HR management expertise to help grow a team and business. This is a standalone HR role to support the SMT and will require a CIPD qualification (or equivalent UK recognised qualification), extensive generalist HR experience, and if you have experience within software or life sciences this would be a huge advantage. Working closely with, and reporting to, the COO you will design and create an HR function across all areas from contract reviews, policy and handbook, recruitment, performance reviews, D,E&I to rewards and remuneration and organisational design and restructure to define the HR vision in the UK and build a culture of trust. You must have current working knowledge and experience of UK employment laws and legislations.
HR Manager Location
Our client is located in Oxford, only a short walk from the train station and access to local amenities. Due to the location unfortunately, there is no onsite parking however you are in great proximity to bus routes. The role is available on a hybrid basis with some regular presence in the Oxford office as the organisation is trying to encourage more collaborative office-working across the business and the HR Manager will be leading the way with this. Therefore it is essential you are able to be in Oxford approx 3 days a week.
