Requirements

As an Executive Vice President (EVP) of Sales for the US government, primary responsibility would be to lead the sales and business development efforts for ALL.SPACE that provides products and services to the US government, and executes the strategy, GTM, thought leadership for this key strategic growth area.

ALL.SPACE is growing its Commercial Sales presence in the US Government area and as a result is looking to grow the Commercial Sales team in delivering exceptional service, and products to its customers globally.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Role is instrumental in developing and executing the USG sales strategy: You would be responsible for developing a comprehensive sales strategy that aligns with ALL.SPACE overall goals and objectives, future projections. This would involve identifying potential customers, partnerships – existing and new, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and pursuing new business opportunities – Direct and Indirect channels.
• Manage a sales team to high performance: You would be responsible for managing a team of sales professionals, providing guidance and leadership to ensure that they meet their sales targets and objectives. This would involve setting sales targets, monitoring performance, and providing feedback and coaching to help the team improve.
• Develop and maintain customer relationships: You would be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, including government agencies, to ensure that the company is meeting their needs and providing high-quality products and services, use cases.
• You will be expected to work as a trusted advisor working to map out customer requirements and help our customers realize the value in our products through sales opportunity closure and development and be a true advocate externally and internally and bridge the relationship between customers with the internal product, and engineering teams on their requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams: You would work closely with other departments within the company, such as product development, marketing, and finance, to ensure that sales efforts are aligned with overall company goals and objectives.
• Monitor market trends and competition: You would be responsible for monitoring market trends and competitive activity to identify new opportunities and threats to the company’s sales and business development efforts.
• Maintain compliance: You would need to ensure that all sales activities are compliant with government regulations and policies.
• To be successful in this role, you would need to have strong leadership and communication skills, a deep understanding of the government procurement process, and a track record of successfully growing sales in the US government market.
• The EVP is a subject matter expert in the delivery of satcom terminal solutions for commercial and government use cases, including multiple orbits (MEO, GEO and future LEO and HEO).
• Instrumental in setting project direction, iterating thinking, developing scenarios, analyzing information, charting desired outcomes, identifying key actions, managing senior stakeholders, as well as coalescing Government internal stakeholders towards achieving new strategic goals.
• Will manage a portfolio of client accounts, to include both contracts directly with the US Government and indirect partners and customers supporting end-users
• The EVP sales will focus on ensuring the mission success of end-users while meeting/exceeding ALL.SPACE revenue and new business targets.
• He/she is responsible for planning and executing a full range of sales and development tasks, with the goal of successfully executing sales and winning new business.
• This includes working directly with satellite operators, end-users and market channel partners to understand their current/future mission satellite requirements; developing and delivering customer solutions employing satcom terminals to support geostationary (GEO), Highly Elliptical Orbit (HEO), Medium Earth orbit (MEO) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite fleet and end-to-end solutions; identifying customer requirements in support of new ALL.SPACE service and product offerings; managing and growing a pipeline of business opportunities; planning and executing strategic business capture plans; writing competitive proposals; and supporting the establishment/stand-up of new contracts and programs.
• The EVP should possess a solid background in the commercial satellite communications industry.
• EVP must also have the strong desire and ability to identify, analyze, segment, target and win business opportunities.
• The EVP is expected to acquire new business to maximize profitable contract revenue over time and manage existing accounts to broaden and deepen the company’s business base.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Highly qualified candidates with a bachelor’s degree in these areas and 20+ years of SATCOM experience working in US Government sales, business development, program management, and product management.
• Currently holding Active TS level security clearance or higher.
• A Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering, Arts & Sciences, or a related field is desired.
• Experience selling and positioning satellite communication solutions to service providers and governmental organization at C level
• Knowledge and experiences in managing potential partners.
• Extensive knowledge of the current and future technology needs, market trends, and procurement practices.
• Proven ability to work with satellite operators to identify their requirements, develop and shape applicable ALL.SPACE terminals and end-to-end solutions, and deliver relevant programs, services, and product offerings.
• Outstanding written, verbal communication and presentation skills;
• Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills;
• Highly Effective, enthusiastic team player with a demonstrated ability to partner across boundaries of function, rank and other differences;
• Strong cross-functional team leadership skills;
• Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
