Position Description:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, attracting, and interviewing potential candidates to fill open positions. This person will also handle the onboarding procedures for new employees.
What you will be doing
Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met, with a long-term talent strategy in mind.
Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations.
Source applicants for open positions through online channels, such as Indeed, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, and other job boards.
Phone screen and interview potential applicants on experience, skills, and education.
Review employment applications and preliminary background check s.
Administering candidate’ assessments.
Contact applicant references as required by the company.
Ensuring pre-employment background checks and drug screenings are completed.
Prepare new employee kits and paperwork.
Send pre-hire emails with information about the position, start date, work schedule, dress code, requirements for first day of employment, etc.
Organize and manage new employee orientation, on-boarding, and training programs.
Ensure new hires have technical assistance from IT to properly set up their hardware and software (request designated log-in, workstation, email address, etc.)
Gather and process new hire documentation, such as I-9, company policies, non-disclosure agreements, etc.
Encourage and market the Employee Referral Program within the company.
Cover all legal compliance for human resources/recruitment federal and state requirements.
Represent employer in community and recruiting events.
Serving as a point person for all new employee questions.
Use different sourcing methods for hard-to-fill roles.
Maintaining current HR databases.
Other general HR/office duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Knowledge of Human Resources law.
Hands on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems and job boards.
HR College degree or HR certification (preferred).
