We are looking for the next HR Intern to join our growing business in the Construction Sector. You will be supported heavily with your development with the idea of long-term growth within the team. Responsibilities for this role would include but are not limited to:
· Updating and maintaining the Human Resources Information System (XERO) – with a particular focus on updating licenses, qualifications and employee skill profiles
· Accurate record keeping
· Complete Vevo Checks
· Recruitment – screening candidates, reference checking, part of interview process,
· Drafting employment contracts and on-boarding documentation
· Organising and facilitating inductions
· Coordinating and booking training
· Coordinating cadet and apprentice programs
· Assisting HR and Recruitment with general administration
· Creating and updating personnel files
· Scanning and Filing
· Working alongside our Group HR Manager with HR related administration for other businesses in the group
As the successful applicant, you will have:
· A curiosity and passion for learning
· Strong computer skills, particularly with Outlook
· Strong communication skills; you actively listen and deliver a concise message
· The ability to work autonomously at times
· Strong attention to detail, time management and prioritization skills
· Experience dealing with information in the strictest confidence
· An interest in Human Resources or desire to gain experience
· Proactive, self-starter and an eagerness to learn
· High attention to detail
· Sound written and verbal communication skills
· Current Driver’s License
· Ability to accept constructive feedback is key as is the confidence to reach out for assistance when needed. Interns should be eager and passionate, ready to learn and grow.
Contract length: 3-6 months
Part-time hours: 15-30 per week
